Rosemary is one of the best-loved garden herbs. It is easy to grow and versatile. It is evergreen, hardy and drought-tolerant and produces masses of small blue flowers in spring and summer. Height 50cm. but prefers a full-sun position and well-drained soil. The fragrant leaves can be used to lift a stew or roast meat dish. In colder areas it can be grown against a south facing wall.
