June in Bloom Events at the Lavender Farm from 12th to 27th June
- Distillation Talks
Distillation work has started. Whilst it is still a little early for the lavender, we are distilling rosemary, eucalyptus and cypress. At 11.30 am and 3 pm, there are fascinating and educational talks and demonstrations in the distillery that explain the oil extraction processes at the lavender farm.
- Champagne & Lavender
On Friday 18th and the 25th June we have a special opportunity to join the owner of the Lavender Farm for an exclusive after-hours tour when the stunning surroundings of the farm are at their most peaceful. You will be conducted on a distillery tour during which the processes of essential oil extraction at the farm are fully explained. Then, to round off your special evening in style, you will enjoy a glass of Champagne - perhaps flavoured with lavender! - and homemade lavender canapés.

- Gardening with Lavenders – Questions and Answers?
This is your opportunity to ask the owner of the Jersey Lavender Farm – Alastair Christie - all those questions about lavender that you ever wanted answering. A brief talk will cover the range of lavenders available and how to look after them; then it’s your chance to ask your questions. Meet in the lavender farm gardens under the dovecote. Normal entry fee applies. 12.30 pm each day, after the distillation talks.
- A Taste of Lavender
Lavender is being increasingly used as culinary herb. In our Sprigs Cafe we are offering the unique opportunity to sample delicious and varied platters of both savoury and sweet dishes all using lavender as a key ingredient. We are sure that you will be pleasantly surprised and inspired to use lavender in your own kitchen. The platters will be offered each day of the festival as a “special” on the Sprigs Café menu.
